Parish School of Religion
The Catholic Community of Meridian is eager to welcome our children and youth to our Parish School of Religion (PSR) which serves St. Joseph, St. Patrick and the NAS Meridian.
Whether you are new to Meridian, new to the Catholic Community, or currently belong to the Catholic Community, we look forward to including you in our program. We hope that the information on this page is helpful as you make plans to join us! Please call the parish office if we can provide more information. Welcome!
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (#2223 and #2225) tells us that “parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children” and “parents receive the responsibility and privilege of evangelizing their children.” To assist and support parents in this sacred responsibility, the Catholic Community of Meridian offers religious formation to youth in grades K-12. The classes are held on Wednesday evenings from
6:15–7:30 (all classes meet in St. Patrick Church). The program includes sacramental preparation for our students.
While all students who do not attend Catholic school are urged to attend throughout their school years, preparation for First Communion usually takes place in second grade, and preparation for Confirmation usually takes place in the eleventh grade. Our catechists (teachers) are a wonderful group of volunteers who give the gift of their time and energy both preparing and teaching so that our students may grow in faith.
General Information
A very reasonably-priced, family-style meal is served prior to classes (at 5:30) for the convenience of our families involved in PSR as well as some casual fellowship for the entire community.

All of our teachers and staff have been cleared to work with children through the “Protection of Children” program and have all undergone training and background checks per this Diocesan-Mandated program.
All classes are held throughout the church facilities ( St. Patrick School , Family Life Center and Parish Center ) of Saint Patrick Church.
