Youth Organizations and Activities

CYM

The Catholic Youth of Meridian (CYM) is for all High School youth in grades 9 – 12 . The CYM Meets on the 2nd & 3rd Sundays from 4-6PM.  We are involved in service to our community and our church and we strive to deepen our relationship with Christ. Meetings and events are conducted either at St. Joseph Church or St. Patrick Church depending on the planned activities.  There are no membership dues but members are expected to participate in all fundraising activities sponsored by the CYM .  All members are required to maintain updated (annual) Indemnity Forms and Medical Release Forms, also known as “yellow forms”.

Youth Choir

Come and shout with joy to the Lord and sing your praises to our God! We rehearse each Wednesday evening during the Parish School of Religion calendar year immediately after PSR classes.   The choir is open to all voices in grades 6 through 12.  We also also encourage musicians to participate.  Our group performs at various Youth Masses and other youth events.

Jr. CYM

The Junior CYM (Catholic Youth of Meridian)
(5-8 grades) meets on Sundays from 4-6PM in the Junior CYM Room of the Family Life Center at St. Patrick. There are no membership dues but members are expected to participate in all fundraising activities sponsored by the Junior CYM.   Membership is open to all Catholic/Christian youth in grades 6, 7 & 8 . All members are required to maintain updated (annual) Indemnity Forms and Medical Release Forms, also known as “yellow forms”.

Cub Scout Pack 7  

Wolves and Bears – boys in grades 2 - 3, meet on Fridays @ 4 p.m. at St. Patrick Parish Center. Contact John Graupman (Den Leader) @ 601-737-5079

Boy Scout Troop 7

Boys in grades 6 – 12.  Meet in the Family Life Center Boy Scout Room at St. Patrick Church on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Please Note:

Adult Advisors are always needed in all of our youth organizations. 

We require that you pass a background check after you have been trained in the specifics of our diocesan-mandated Protection of Children procedures.
